Thieves cause Extensive Damage to Bar After Break In

Police in Saginaw County are looking for suspects who broke into a bar Saturday, July 20.

The Bus Stop Bar and Grill in Birch Run Township on Dixie Highway closed for business around 7:30 p.m. due to the power outage caused by a severe storm which left hundreds of thousands without power across the state. Police say some time during the night, thieves broke into the building and caused a lot of damage, destroying items and stealing a cash drawer. The bar has security cameras, which weren’t working due to the outage. One of the suspects cut themselves on broken glass and investigators were able to get a blood sample.
