Nexteer Plant 4 Catches Fire

First responders were dispatched to fire at Nexteer’s Plant Four in Buena Vista Township, Saturday, October 12.

Officials with the Buena Vista Township Fire department say the fire began from a spark in the blast room and was relatively minor. It was put out within 20 minutes. The call initially went out from Saginaw County Central Dispatch around 1:45 p.m.

No structural damage to the building was reported. There were also no injuries.

The Saginaw Fire Department assisted at the scene.
