Bishop Walter Hurley Issues Apology After DeLand Sentencing

Apostolic Administrator Walter Hurley who’s Bishop of the Saginaw Catholic Diocese is offering an apology following sentencing of Robert DeLand on sex related charges.

Hurley called the outcome a clear statement that everyone including clergy must be held accountable for actions injuring others including the vulnerable and minors. Hurley added the focus of the Diocese on protecting young people and children is strong and there will be no rest when it comes to ensuring their safety.
