Bay City Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

A Bay City man was killed Tuesday, July 23 in a motorcycle accident in Bay County.
Police say a 76-year-old Kawkawlin man driving a pickup truck west on Wheeler Rd. made a left turn onto Nine Mile in Williams Township, but didn’t see the approaching east bound motorcycle, ridden by 47-year-old Eric Kerkau, who crashed into the truck. Kerkau was taken to a local hospital but died from his injuries.
Police don’t believe alcohol or speed to be factors in the crash. The Bay County prosecutor is reviewing the case.
