American Music Award winner Al B. Sure has had the ladies swooning ever since he dropped his debut album In Effect Mode in 1998. Known for his striking looks and smooth vocals, he has become an OG in the industry. While working on new music, Al collapsed  and fell into a coma and began suffering from various illnesses such as renal failure. Things were looking so dark at one point, physicians began to consider putting the talented singer/songwriter in hospice.

Luckily, he has responded well to a liver transplant and is now doing well, despite being in a coma for two months. “I’m the recipient of an amazing blessed new liver – and you know I’m going to treat it well”! He also added in his interview with Essence. “If I can influence or inspire someone else, I did my job.”

Here at Kiss 107.1, we are wishing Al continued success on his recovery.
