Saginaw Man Charged With Throwing Lit Fireworks From Moving Car
A Saginaw man is in hot water after throwing lit fireworks from a moving vehicle.
Police say 28-year-old Louis Jones, Jr. was a passenger of a vehicle which left the Evergreen Tavern in Hemlock in the early morning hours of July 21. He allegedly began throwing the devices out the window until one of them came back into the car and landed in the back seat, exploding. It injured himself and three others in the vehicle.
Jones was arraigned Friday, August 23 on charges of possessing bombs with unlawful intent causing serious bodily impairment, possession of an explosive device, possessing an explosive causing serious injury, fireworks-serious bodily impairment, and felon in possession of weapons or ammunition. He is currently held at the Saginaw County Jail on a $100,000 bond and has a preliminary hearing September 9.
