Woman Killed in Fiery Isabella County Crash

A crash in Isabella County Tuesday, August 20 resulted in the death of an unidentified woman.

Police say the woman was driving a pickup truck on Millbrook near Gilmore Road in Deerfield Township around 4:00 p.m. The vehicle left the roadway and drove into a field, rolled several times and hit a utility pole, which fell to the ground. The truck caught fire while the woman was trapped inside. Emergency responders arrived to find the truck fully engulfed in flames.

A medical examiner at Sparrow Hospital is working to identify the woman.
