Tuition is going up at Saginaw Valley State University. The school’s Board of Control approved a tuition increase of $505 for in-state undergraduates for the next school year. That means a Michigan undergraduate taking 30 credit hours will pay $10,813 for the upcoming academic year. SVSU said it will still have the lowest tuition among the 15 public universities in Michigan, despite the 4.9 % increase.

In other action, the SVSU board approved a 3-year contract with the Police Officers Association of Michigan, which represents university patrol officers. the deal includes a 2% wage increase for each year of the contract and health insurance coverage equivalent to administrative and professional staff.
