Suspect in Custody Following SVSU Assault
A suspect in a sexual assault near Saginaw Valley State University on Saturday, April 6 is in custody.
Police say two women, ages 17 and 18, were assaulted at the Campus Village apartments during the early morning hours. A 16-year-old girl was also at the scene but says she was not assaulted. One of the women is an SVSU student, though none of them lived at the apartment. The 22-year-old suspect is lodged in the Saginaw County Jail on first degree criminal sexual conduct charges and is awaiting arraignment. Police are currently looking for three other men in the case and are hoping witnesses come forward. Police say the victims and the men didn’t know each other well.
