State Representative Seeks Saginaw County Clerk Seat

A local state representative has entered the race for Saginaw County Clerk.

Vanessa Guerra, who is in her final year as representative due to term limits, filed the paperwork to run in the August primary. Guerra, a Democrat, is challenging incumbent Mike Hanley, who is also a Democrat.

The winner of next year’s primary will go on to the election in November. There are currently no Republican challengers to the position.
