Saginaw School Board Okays Teacher Contract, Moves SUCCESS Academy
Saginaw’s SUCCESS Academy which helps struggling high school students catch up on course requirements for graduation will be moving to the Ricker Center in Buena Vista Township starting in July.
That follows a Saginaw school board vote Wednesday.
The transition comes as Delta College moves out to open up its new satellite campus in downtown
Saginaw. SUCCESS will expand to include middle school students with a new program starting in September after moving out of the Saginaw Career Complex.
School board trustees also approved a new three year contract with teachers. Superintendent Ramont Roberts says the deal makes every teacher whole financially by aligning salaries and years of service after wage concessions were imposed several years ago.
