Saginaw school board trustees expressed concerns to district administrators Wednesday about the frequency of student tests now that a new school year has begun.

Board President Ruth Ann Knapp wonders when is there time to teach while so much testing is being mandated by  the state and federal governments. Knapp adds it’s an issue  impacting not only the Saginaw schools, but also districts across
Michigan and the nation.

Knapp says teachers will keep focusing on helping students with test taking, including dealing with so-called “testing anxiety”.
