Mt. Pleasant Woman Wins Big On Powerball Ticket

It may not have been the jackpot, but a Mount Pleasant woman is $150,000 richer after matching some Powerball numbers.

41-year-old Jennifer Horton matched four white balls plus the power ball number to win $50,000, which was boosted to $150,000 with the power play option. Horton says after buying the ticket at at a Marathon gas station on East Pickard Street, she put it in her purse and forgot about it, finding it a month later. She says she couldn’t believe at first she had won such a large amount.

Horton says she plans on paying bills and taking her family on vacation.
