It’s official: There’s a new royal baby in the palace!

The official Instagram account for the Duke and Dutchess of Sussex (a.k.a. Prince Harry and the former Meghan Markle) announced that their first child was born this morning at 5:26am local time… and it’s a boy!

This is the first child for the couple, who were wed around this time last year. The baby is now seventh in line for the throne, behind his grandfather (Prince Charles), his uncle (Prince William), his three cousins (William’s kids) and his father Harry. CNN reports that the new dad is more than excited for the new arrival.

“I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy earlier this morning, a very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension, but we’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful for all the love and support from everybody out there. It’s been amazing, so I just wanted to share this with everybody.”

At press time, a name has not yet been chosen for the newest royal. Both Mommy and baby are doing well!

Congrats!
