HIV Testing Day 2021

For the 11th year the Great Lakes Bay HIV/ AIDS Task Force, the NAACP Saginaw Branch, and Great Lakes Bay Health Centers (GLBHCs) have been committed to testing Saginaw and surrounding county residents for HIV. Please mark your calendars and set the date for free same day HIV results. The Hearth Home will be observing National HIV Testing Day on Friday, June 25, 2021. Testing will be offered for FREE between 9:30am and 3:00pm at Great Lakes Bay Health Center’s Hearth Home located at (732 Hoyt Ave. Saginaw, MI 48601).

There will also be various community based testing offered throughout Saginaw and the Great Lakes Bay region. “I get tested every year on National testing Day. Everyone is always so friendly and I get my results right away!” ~ Anonymous Client.

Testing and activities are free! Too many people don’t know they have HIV. In the United States, nearly 1.2 million people are living with HIV, and almost one in seven don’t know they are infected. Knowing your status is the first step to prevention. If you have HIV, getting medical care and taking medications regularly helps you live a longer, healthier life and lowers the chances of passing HIV on to others.
