To further amplify the voices of emerging creatives who have a passion for filmmaking, The Saginaw Juneteenth Celebration Inc. has issued an open call for 10-15-minute short films produced and created by diverse filmmakers that explore a broad collection of experiences, perspectives, and points of view. Films may be submitted across a range of genres/themes that resonate with a U.S. audience, including (but not limited to) animation, comedy, drama, horror or sci-fi. Projects must be complete works for submission.

All submissions will be reviewed for selection to determine which films will be showcased in Saginaw’s first annualfilm festival – Saginaw (Shorts) State-Wide Film Festival
in June 2023.
