The trial of 30 year old Joshua Rosebush who’s accused of shooting Saginaw Township Police Officer Jeff Koenig January 22nd began Friday with jurors seeing police dash cam video of the event. Koenig falls to the ground and screams after being hit by bullets in the right arm and face.  Koenig had to have his jaw wired shut for six weeks after the shooting and lost 40 pounds. A bullet fragment remains lodged in his sinus cavity.

Rosebush was later shot himself and arrested in Shiawassee County. He  faces over two dozen charges with the most serious being two counts of  assault with intent to murder. That carries a maximum penalty of life in prison with the possibility of parole. The trial resumes Tuesday in the courtroom of Saginaw County Circuit Judge Andre Borrello.
