Saginaw Township officials say they’re receiving excellent reviews from participants in the Region Two Midwest
Championships. That’s being held at the Township soccer complex on McCarty.

Those involved say they’re especially pleased with the proximity of fields to parking plus the condition of those fields for players. Up to 15,000 people including players and their families, coaches, referees and visiting spectators are involved in the tournament, meaning at least $12,000,000 for regional businesses.

After kicking off Friday, the tournament will climax Wednesday with 14 regional championship teams being crowned.
