Bay City’s Western High School takes on a French flair this week. It comes this Saturday as 18 students from a suburb of Paris arrive in Auburn.

Western teacher Beth Ann Fall says it’s part of an exchange program. The French students will stay with their American families in Auburn.  In addition to classes at Western, the students will tour the Alden Dow house and Tridge in Midland, the Marshall Fredericks Gallery at SVSU and the U. S. S.  Edson.

In June the Western students will go to France, staying with their French brothers and sisters families for two weeks.

Bay City Schools Superintendent Doctor Stephen Bieglow called the exchange program a wonderful experience. Bieglow said the district is working to set up a similar program for a German exchange.
