A new Genesee County human trafficking task force has made a major arrest.

22 people so far have been arrested in the sting, coming from all walks of life. The newly formed Genesee Human Oppression Strike Team (GHOST) made the arrests over the past week. Suspects include bankers, GM employees, construction workers and a mother accused of trafficking her six-year-old daughter. They come from locations in Genesee, Saginaw, Wayne, Tuscola, Shiawassee, Lapeer and Oakland counties. They are all suspected of soliciting children for sexual purposes.

66 felony charges are entered, resulting in nearly a thousand years of combined prison time if all the suspects are convicted. Genesee Sheriff Robert Pickell will provide an update at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 10 at a news conference.
